I own a property in Spain and each year pay my Patrimonio ex spell more commonly known as the Wealth tax and the other tax of which I am unsure of the correct name but again commonly known as the Renta Tax which I have to pay despite not renting out the property. Howdy y all,I wish to sell my property in Spain a.s.a.p, but there are certain conditions that I do not fully understand. Here we go..........I own 50 % of the property and the children of my recently deceased spouse own the other 50 %, I have usufruct, and can live here indefinitely. The children live in the UK. Can they restrict my ability to sell the property at whatever price I decide? I m not looking to disinherit them, they will receive their half, it will be transparent as they need to provide power of attorney to a notary here in Spain for the completion of sale. I am considering selling at loss so that I can leave sooner rather than later.
